In 2010 and 2011, he led Gorman to a varsity record of 28-2 and an overall program record of 61-4. Their lost to Liberty High School last fall ended their string of state championships. It was devoid of the most magnificent high school football stadium in Nevada, and the 41,324-square foot facility designed to maximize the development of the schools student-athletes. After college, he became the head coach at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada for four years (2003-2006), where he coached RB DeMarco Murray, LB Ryan Reynolds, TE Xavier Grimble, RB Keola Antolin, OL Po'u Palelei, and OL Geoffry Gibson.
